From one pair to a whole shelf: how NipTip spreads

A studio in Tucson. A shop in Charlotte. A crew on a stage. None of those were a sales plan — they all started with one person who bought one pair and then told everybody.

How it actually spreads

It is always the same shape. Someone buys a single pair. Somebody taps her mid-shift. Three people in the dressing room ask what that was. Two of them order that night, and one of them turns out to run the studio.

We have never had a single customer become a stockist through a cold email. Every stockist we have came through a wearer.

Where we are on a shelf right now

  • Broken Doll Studio — pole studio, Tucson, AZ. On the shelf and on the instructors.
  • Impulse Exotixx — retail, Charlotte, NC. Walk in, pick a pair, set it up in store.
  • Temptations After Dark — performance crew wearing them on stage.

The full, current list lives here — it changes faster than a blog post does.

Why we like physical stores for this product

Tap-to-tip is almost impossible to explain and completely obvious to experience. Two seconds with a phone and a pastie on a counter does more than any product page we can write. That is also why we set links up in store where a stockist is willing — the customer leaves already earning.

If you run the room

Studios, clubs and retail buy at wholesale with an exclusivity radius, so you are not competing with the shop down the road. We keep minimums realistic for small independent spaces, because those are the spaces this works in.
